Ladies and Gents, welcome to my new and improved blog! It had taken me a long while to discover what I wanted to use this blog for and I decided to dedicate it all to health. Whether it be physical or emotional health. I am so passionate about this kind of thing because developing a healthy lifestyle has been one of my biggest accomplishments, and it has taken me a long time to get here. Even though I am in a place where I am finally comfortable with myself, there is always room for improvement and I still have my day to day struggles just like everyone else. I really am passionate about this subject because figuring out my body and what works best for it has made such a difference in my life. Like a 52 pound difference and counting! I am a new person because of the dedication I gave to myself. And guess what ladies, confidence in yourself is sexy. It is sexy to others but walking out of your house with a confident attitude towards yourself feels sexy. At the risk of sounding vain, feeling sexy is awesome! One important thing I should note though is that I changed for myself. Not anyone else. I wanted to feel better about myself so I started to do things that uplifted me. Eating right, exercising my mind and body, getting ready, getting up early, doing things that bring me happiness and smiling all helped me become me. I wanted the outside to reflect the inside. This blog is dedicated to girls like me who just need an extra push, or a little more motivation to not only look good, but to feel good. The most important thing I learned though this journey of mine is that being healthy is easy! Set small, attainable goals and you can do it! I did this all on a limited college student budget too! All you need is a little will power and an awesome work out playlist (: I want everyone to feel like they can get healthy. I would always log onto blogs and sites filled with expertise and wisdom on how to get healthy or how to lose weight fast, etcetera etcetera. Well I learned the trick to losing weight and getting healthy, and I bet you are dying to know, is to get up, get active and portion control. That's it! You would be amazed at how much better you will feel if you go for a run when you are feeling down rather than eating 6 ice cream sandwiches. (for those of you who know that story, cue laughter) I also learned though to not diet, but to try it. If you want an ice cream, then dangit get an ice cream! But get a small, not a pint. (; It's the small and simple things that make big differences in the long run. Now I don't know if this post is making any sense because I have a tendency to let my thoughts get out of hand, but this blog is dedicated to everyone who wants to make a change. It will be filled with advice and uplifting messages on how to get healthy, in every way. Now keep in mind though, everything I post is from my own personal experience and everyones bodies are very different, so what worked on me may not work as well for you, but keep at it! And if you would like a more personalized approach to you, I will gladly help out! I am so passionate about this and I want to help people feel better about themselves because everyone deserves to feel sexy in their own skin!
