Wait a minute Mr. Postman
Today started off to a really cruddy day but thanks to 3 incredible people it turned right around! Now these three are people I trust with my life, and are such amazing friends! While I've known some longer than others, they are all equally incredible and close to my heart! These special people are Camille Ostler, Marie Taylor, and Elder Meads, but before I get into my story a little background information needs to come into play. Ever since I was a little kid I have been obsessed with the mail. I remember that I would ride to the post office with my mom all the time and I would beg her to let me check the mail, in hopes that there would be a letter for me, which there never was because why would a child get mail everyday? Any who, my mom would sometimes let me go check it, but I was too short to reach it so she would have to give me a bit of a boost. It's funny that I developed a love of the post office and checking the mail. How it came about I have no idea because I usually ended in disappointment because there was never anything for me. Well I am both happy and embarrassed to report that I still love the post office and checking the mail even at 20 years old. I do get a little more mail nowadays but its usually all from Wells Fargo, in which case I would just rather not get mail. But occasionally I get a letter that I actually care about, the past couple years most of those fun letters have been from Elder Baron, who I am happy to report that he comes home MAY 17! I am very excited! But recently I have been able to get letters from Elder Meads. I love getting letters from him and I have loved getting letters from Elder Baron as well. Okay well now I'm blabbing, back to the story. So I am walking home from my incredibly terrible Understanding Film class still feeling down in the dumps when I check the mail. It was full of nothing for other people until I saw a small envelope with my name on it and nothing else. I opened it and it says "to get your mail, find something you use when it hails". I kind of laugh a little bit because I know it's Camille's doing, so I walk into my apartment and enter Marie. She pulls out her camera because she has to document the process of finding something for Camille because she is at work. Thankfully I had Marie there to help me through some of the more difficult clues, because since she helped make them she was able to tell me when I was getting close. Well long story short, I followed all the clues and found a letter form the one and only Elder Meads! It was such a great letter, and I even got a picture! haha Well needless to say this whole little shindig made me smile and my spirits were very much lifted! Well back to my love for checking the mail. Even though I don't really get that much mail, it's those few times when I do get mail that makes me still love checking the mail! I also love that a memory that started with me and my mom in Pahrump's little post office has continued and I now get to share it with other people! haha Who knew?

Lowes: low on prices and low on overly helpful employees.
Today was a very crazy insane day for me. Due to my ongoing struggle with procrastination, which I crumble to almost every time, I was forced to put together an entire portfolio for my interior design class today. I started at noon today and finally finished around 10 tonight. It was awesome. Anyway, during the process I had to go to Lowe's to pick out all my flooring, cabinets, countertops, doors, windows, sinks, tubs, showers, the list goes on and on. As I am looking for all of this material while being under a time crunch, I was really hoping that I would not be bugged by overly helpful employees in their cute little aprons walking up to me and saying, "you can do it, we can help", which happens to me almost every time I walk into a Home Depot. Okay no one has actually ever said those exact words to me but they always ask me if I need help at least a million times and it drives me nuts! I appreciate their helpfulness but I don't want it every second that I am in attendance at the store. If I do need help, trust me I will ask you apron wearing person. Well anyways, after all my lovely experiences with The Home Depot, I was hoping Lowe's would be a little better but wasn't really expecting it or getting my hopes up. I was mentally preparing myself to be annoyed with 30 people coming up to me wanting to "build something together". However, I am happy to report that I was pleasantly left alone the majority of the time, granted I tried to make myself look like I knew exactly what I was doing, but I loved the fact that I could walk by a pack of employees and not have every single one of them bombard me with help I didn't need. I was only asked by a couple of employees if I needed help, I politely declined and they left me alone to get my business done. They said if I had any questions to just holler. I loved that. So needless to say, a trip that would have taken me about 2 hours at The Home Depot, took me a grand total of about 45 minutes at Lowe's. It was awesome that there were employees everywhere I turned so that if I needed some extra assistance they were always around, but at the same time they didn't follow me around everywhere I went. It was overall a lovely experience and allowed me to get to work on making my portfolio, which kicks butt by the way!

Yep I'm a blogger
I have no idea what to put right now to start off my blog but my roommate Camille keeps yelling from her room "Type something so I can read it", so here you go Camille. I don't know exactly what to write so I will just type about what's on my mind, Taco Tuesday. The best day of the week. Even though I have given up meat when I don't where it came from and who raised it I might just have to make an exception with this one, because c'mon 3 tacos for 99 cents? Who can beat that or resist it? I have to send out a quick thank you to Del Taco for being so delicious and cheap and for making a day of the week that I can look forward to. And while I'm sending out thank-you's I have to thank my Dixie student ID card, for getting me into school functions when my name-tag and drivers license alone won't suffice, and for getting me killer deals around town! It saves me $2 on a movie ticket on week nights which is my favorite! Well talking about Taco Tuesday is making me want it really bad now so I think I will go and have to break my own rule but hey, that's what rules are for right? But to Camille who is reading this, Taco Tuesday will be the ONLY exception to this rule so don't think I'm backing out or giving up. Well to the wonderful world of bloggers, good riddance, good luck, and good night.
